I am a Child of God.

Growing up I always sang the song that mostly every Latter-day Saint knows, which is: I Am A Child of God. I have come to realize that not everyone knows this truth, which seem's so simple to me. But today I would like to testify that all of us, male and female, are sons and daughters of our father which is in Heaven. Everyone who has ever lived on this earth, and who will live on this earth are sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father. Just as we have a father here on this earth, we have a father who is in heaven, and He looks over us; he is aware of us; he loves us.

I believe...

My name is Tessa and I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Some might say that being a member of a church restricts what I can believe, but I would like to take the opportunity to share with those of you who may not know about my church what I believe. First of all, I believe that my Savior Jesus Christ lives, that He was resurrected three days after being crucified on the cross. I believe that He speaks to us today, and that he continues to give us direction in our lives today. I believe that the Lord has a prophet on the earth today, just like Moses or Abraham or Isaac; his prophet on earth today is Thomas S. Monson. I believe that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are the word of God, and that it is by reading them and following their precepts that we will find true happiness and know what path to take our life. I know that the true gospel of Jesus Christ was restored to this earth by his prophet Joseph Smith, and that Joseph Smith did in fact translate the Book of Mormon. I know that Christ sacrificed His life for us, so that we can repent and return to him one day. I testify of these things to be true, thank you.
